💜 A Letter from Funimecity: Five Years Together 2022-2026

In March 2022, Funimecity received its very first order.
At the time, we had no idea where this journey would lead.
A few products.
A few orders.
A few customers.
Nothing felt certain.
We were simply trying to build something for people who loved the same stories we did.
We never imagined how far that journey would take us.
Over the years, thousands of packages left our warehouse and found their way to readers and collectors across the world.
Packages arrived in cities we had never heard of before.
Collections grew.
Friendships were formed.
And little by little, Funimecity became something much bigger than a store.
But when we look back today, the things we remember most aren't the packages.
They're the people.
The customer who shared a photo of their collection after waiting months for a preorder.
The reader who discovered a new favorite story through a recommendation.
The fan who proudly showed us a bookshelf they had spent years building.
The creators who spent countless hours making reviews, videos, artwork, translations, and guides that helped others discover stories they might never have found otherwise.
The countless conversations that started because of a shared interest.
Those moments stayed with us.
Because they reminded us of something important.
A fandom is more than books.
More than merchandise.
More than a store.
What makes a fandom special isn't simply what we collect.
It's what we discover together.
What we create together.
What we share with one another.
Over the past few years, we've had the privilege of watching communities grow.
We've seen people from different countries become friends because of a story they both loved.
We've seen creators introduce readers to books they would never have found on their own.
We've seen collectors inspire other collectors.
We've seen entire communities form around a recommendation, a bookshelf, a review, a photograph, or a simple conversation.
And somewhere along the way, we realized something.
Some of the most meaningful things happen beyond products.
They happen through discovery.
Through connection.
Through collaboration.
That realization became the inspiration for something new.
But before we talk about what's next, there's something we want to say first.

Thank you to everyone who placed an order.
Thank you to everyone who left a review.
Thank you to everyone who shared a photo, recommended us to a friend, tagged us in a post, or simply stayed with us through the years.
Whether your first order was in 2022 or last week, you have been part of this journey.
We wouldn't be here without you.
And because of that, we want to celebrate together.
Not only by looking back at how far we've come, but by taking the first step toward what comes next.

To celebrate our fifth anniversary, we want to do something special.
Over the coming months, we will be sending out 50 mystery gifts to members of our community.
Some gifts will be surprise thank-you gifts for longtime supporters.
Others will be given through community activities, anniversary events, and special community projects.

Over the years, we've been fortunate to witness something special.
Not only the growth of our store, but the growth of the community around it.
And eventually, we began asking ourselves a simple question:
What if we could create more opportunities for people to discover each other, connect with one another, and celebrate the stories they love together?
Today, we'd like to share the first step of that idea.
We're excited to introduce Funimerse.
Funimerse is a community project initiated by Funimecity, built around a simple belief:
Communities become stronger when people have more opportunities to discover new stories, connect with one another, and build something together.
It's a place for shared stories.
For creators.
For collectors.
For readers.
For conversations.
For collaborations.
For community projects that bring people together beyond stores, platforms, and borders.
Over time, Funimerse will become home to community projects, global challenges, fan stories, creator spotlights, collaborations, and many more ideas created together with all of you.
We're only at the beginning, and we're excited to see where this journey leads.

This July, Funimerse will launch its very first community project.
A global fan challenge inspired by one of the stories that has connected readers and collectors around the world.

This is only the beginning.
